When I started karate in 1974, I was an overweight 13 year old. Martial arts changed everything for me and I want to do the same for other teens.
The Teen Martial Arts Fitness Project is designed to accomplish that.
The project has a goal of reaching 1,000 teens in the summer of 2010.
That is 100 schools helping 10 teens each. These schools would offer teens in their community a free 30-day program specifically designed to teach them simple martial arts and self-defense skills but more importantly, critical confidence building social skills that are presented through a series of powerful exercises and role plays.
We have created the curriculum class-by-class to make it as easy as possible for you to teach and implement. Below you will find an overview of the program along with awealth of media related support to help you launch your Teen Martial Arts Fitness Project.
